You're Invited: The Kingdom is Open - But Will You Come?

This Sunday at Cornerstone, we’ll be diving into one of Jesus’ most powerful and sobering parables — the story of a royal wedding feast from Matthew 22:1-14. It’s a scene full of joy, honor, rejection, grace, and ultimately, a call to respond.
Imagine receiving a personal invitation to a royal celebration — a banquet in honor of the king’s son. Everything is prepared. The food is ready. The doors are open. But shockingly, many ignore the invitation. Some walk away to their fields and businesses. Others lash out at the messengers. And even more surprising, someone tries to attend without dressing appropriately.
This is The Invitation of the King — and it’s a picture of how people respond to God’s offer of salvation today. Some are too distracted. Some are openly resistant. Others want the benefits of the Kingdom — but on their terms.
But the King’s call still goes out. To the broken. To the forgotten. To the sinner and the seeker.
“Come to the banquet. Everything is ready.” (Matthew 22:4)
This Sunday, we’ll explore:
  • Why the Kingdom of God is described as a joyful feast, not a burden.
  • How God responds to those who reject His Son.
  • What it means to be “clothed” in Christ — and why it matters.
  • Why the Kingdom is wide open… yet only few are chosen.
It’s a message about grace, urgency, and the holiness of God’s call. And it will challenge each of us to consider:

Have I accepted the King’s invitation? And have I come on His terms?

Make plans to join us this Sunday, as we continue our series, The Kingdom Is Everything.

Bring a Bible. Bring a friend. And come ready to hear from the King.

“Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb.” — Revelation 19:9
