The mission of God’s church is all about soul-winning. God has created His church of redeemed sinners to create a place of safety, refuge, and hope. God has empowered us to become vessels of sacrificial love. He has called us to create an atmosphere of peace.
Why do we do this? Because of the priority of God in our life.
Keeping God in the proper place is challenging. The world impacts us more than we realize. God has been completely removed in most of our entertainment, sports, science, business, medicine, and counseling. The removal of God is what is leading to the complete collapse of our culture. It feels like the dam is about to break.
We must remind ourselves that God is at work. He is in control. He is working in unimaginable ways. We need to get out of the way and remember it is not about us … we need to let God work.
On Sunday we’ll discuss:

On Sunday we’ll discuss:
- How Cornerstone Can Confront the Culture
- 1 Corinthians 3.5-9: Paul, Apollos, and God
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
- What does it mean to be a place to heal?
- Why does it often require courage to go to the source of the problem, rather than just deal with symptoms?
- What does it mean to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart?
- What is a “servant” in 1 Corinthians 3.5?
- Who gives the growth individually and congregationally?
