Friday First - The End of Time
During the fall quarter we have talked about seeing Jesus face to face. In his writing, John looks forward to our future existence. He says that while the exact details of what that will be have not yet been revealed, he does say that when the Lord returns we will be like him because we will see him as he is, 1 John 3.2. Isn’t that a glorious thought? To be in the presence of the Savior?
During November we’ll be focusing on seeing Jesus in the future. We absolutely do not want to miss him. Actually, we won’t miss him because every eye will see when He comes again. But we certainly do not want to miss eternity with Him.
On Sunday we’ll talk about what will happen at the end of time. It could happen at any moment. While the Scripture treats this with urgency, we may not be as apt. After all, the world has been going on as we know it for all of our lives … and it has been 2000 years since Jesus ascended to heaven. Our lives are busy, consumed with our affairs here … we are generally healthy and do not give as much thought about our mortality … and so the thought of eternity may not capture the proper attention the Bible demands.
What does Scripture reveal about the end of time?
On Sunday we will discuss:

What does Scripture reveal about the end of time?
On Sunday we will discuss:
- Jesus’ promise to return
- Our need to be watching
- What happens at His coming
- The judgment
- Eternal destinations
As you prepare for worship, please think about these questions.
- What are two important takeaways from Hebrews 9.27-28?
- Why should we be on watch for the Lord’s return?
- Will Jesus’ return be silent or will every person know?
- Where will we meet Jesus when He comes?
- What will become of the earth after Jesus returns?
