Friday First - Seeing Jesus Face to Face

Sunday begins the last quarter of our 2022 vision plan curriculum. It is always amazing to me how fast the year passes by. This year we have been focusing on Jesus. We have endeavored to learn how precious He is, see His uniqueness, and maintain the unity He has given us. Now during the 4th quarter, we’ll turn our attention to the ultimate goal … seeing Jesus face to face. This is our hope. An even higher status awaits us in the future. All of this is based off the thesis statement for 1 John, found in 5.13: I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.i

On Sunday we will talk about 5 things we need to do in order to dwell securely in the fact that we will each see Him face to face.

We must:
  • Remain in Him
  • Do what is right
  • Embrace how God Loves us
  • Focus on Heaven
  • Strive for purity

As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
  • What does it mean to you to remain in Christ?
  • If you have fully surrendered to Christ, what things should be present in your life?
  • How does the love of God bolster your confidence in seeing Jesus face to face?
  • What should our hope of heaven be focused on?
  • What is the ultimate purpose of your salvation?
