On Sunday we will continue our look into Paul’s writing in Colossians as we introduce and set the course for our Vision 2023 curriculum and vision plan.
Last week we focused on the doctrine of reconciliation. We have been reconciled so that we will be presented holy, faultless, and blameless before him. Since this is the case, our lives are to be characterized by an ongoing perseverance in faithfulness. We must choose to remain in the position God has planted us.
In Colossians 2 we find a great summary of what we want to accomplish this year at Cornerstone as we focus on what it means to be rooted. We want you to have strong hearts. We want you to be joined together in love. We want you to move toward a complete understanding of the teaching you have received. We want you to continue to walk in him. We want you to see how you have been rooted, and are being built up in Him by God; which has resulted in your having been established in the faith. We want you to overflow with gratitude for the salvation and the gift of eternal life you are receiving from God.
Our lives need to be characterized by strong hearts, loving unity, and a settled understanding of the Word. This will happen as we walk in Him, having been rooted, built up, and established in the faith. This leads to overflowing gratitude!
On Sunday we will discuss:

On Sunday we will discuss:
- Paul’s desire for the church
- Three ways to strengthen your stability
As you prepare for worship, please think about these questions.
- Why is a strong spiritual heart so essential to your Christian life?
- How does God hold us all together in Christ?
- How do we experience the truth?
- What does it mean to walk in Christ?
- Who does the rooting, building up, and establishing? Who gives thanks?
