This spring we have been looking at why people followed Jesus. He provides us with hope. He shows us the father by demonstrating perfect virtue and character. And, he brings us life. Jesus is the only thing that can satisfy our soul. He is the answer for our hungering and thirsting after righteousness. He is our spiritual food and nourishment. There is never a moment when we cannot access His supply. He always has more than enough.
On Sunday we’ll take a look at John 6 that explains how Jesus is the answer for every spiritual need we have.
We will:
Get ourselves acquainted with the background leading up to his profound teaching in v. 35-59.
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
On Sunday we’ll take a look at John 6 that explains how Jesus is the answer for every spiritual need we have.
We will:
Get ourselves acquainted with the background leading up to his profound teaching in v. 35-59.
- Learn about who He is, His purpose in coming, and His promise.
- Challenge ourselves with coming to Him, experiencing Him, and believing upon Him.
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
- Initially, what were the crowds so interested in Jesus for? (John 6.2)
- What does Jesus identify as another motive the crowds followed? (John 6.26)
- By saying He is the bread of life, what lesson is Jesus trying to teach?
- What is the incredible promise Jesus makes in our text?
- How do we take advantage of the promises Jesus makes?
