Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen, Hebrews 11.1. Take a look at the last part of the verse and make the connection to the reality of providence. Right now, in ways we cannot see, God is working all things for our good, Romans 8.28. God is working on every level to get those who have chosen Him, back to Him to dwell with Him throughout eternity.
God is not detached or removed. He is not far away. He is right here in the middle of it all … in the same way that He has worked with His people from creation. We may not see these things in the present … but we have been simply called to trust Him.
On Sunday we’ll see to look at God’s providence in the world and how He is moving everyone and everything to the next world. For the saved, He is working everything for their ultimate deliverance to eternal peace and rest, Ephesians 1.11; Revelation 21.1-5; 23-27; 22.1-5.
We will learn more about providence by seeing:

- How God worked to provide perfect fellowship
- How God worked to provide the perfect sacrifice
- How God is working to restore us to the ultimate fellowship
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
- What is one of the most wonderful aspects of Eden? How great would it have been to live there?
- Was God caught off guard when man sinned? Explain.
- Can we trust that Jesus’ sacrifice is sufficient for our salvation? How does Romans 5.1-11 prove this?
- What does Revelation 21.3 explain as God’s ultimate plan?
- How are some things you think God is working through today to accomplish this end?
