Friday First - A Place to Heal

As you reflect over 2020, can you see the providence of God behind this year’s vision plan? During the summer/fall of ’19, as we were thinking ahead, we could not have imagined everything 2020 would bring.

2020 brought simultaneous challenges in ways we’ve never experienced before: grief; a pandemic; societal turmoil; and a new place to worship.

Despite this, we have endured. We have grown together. We have reached out to God in trust. We have committed ourselves to being good stewards of his tremendous blessings.
Whereas Vision 2020 was more inwardly focused (Victorious Faith). Vision 2021 will be more outwardly focused (A Place to Heal).
Today we’ll look at Matthew 11.28-30 to see what this place must be:
  • A place of rest
  • A place of repentance
  • A place of relationships
As you prepare for worship on Sunday, please give consideration to these questions:
  • What are some unique challenges you’ve faced during 2020?
  • How have you grown spiritually as you look back over the year?
  • What is so special about prayer and how does it bring peace?
  • What does it mean to be a place of repentance?
  • What are some things you can do to build relationships here at Cornerstone?
