Lesson 11 - The Man Who Had Somewhere to Be

Three men came down the road to Jericho and the text says all three of them saw the man in the ditch. Seeing was not the difference. Something happened in one traveler between the seeing and the doing that did not happen in the other two. This lesson charts all three side by side, counts what stopping actually cost the Samaritan and looks at the uncomfortable part: the text never says the priest and the Levite had bad motives. They likely had somewhere to be. So do you. That is what makes this parable dangerous to read slowly.
