Lesson 9 - What Grows Underground

Part Three opens five weeks on forgiveness and it does not start with forgiving. It starts with what is already growing in the ground of a person who has not. Hebrews 12:15 warns about a root. A root works underground long before anything shows. The arithmetic in the verse is the alarming part: one root, many defiled. Bitterness never stays a private matter, no matter how private it stays. This lesson reads the list in Ephesians 4:31 in the order Paul wrote it, draws what lives below ground level and ends with a question nobody can answer for you: what is growing in yours?
