Feb 4, 2025    Dave Pennington

In this lesson, we follow David as he navigates through a series of difficult and dangerous circumstances. After narrowly escaping Saul's wrath, David seeks refuge in Nob, where he is given the holy bread by Ahimelech, the priest, and Goliath's sword. As David flees Saul's territory, he attempts to find safety in the Philistine city of Gath, where his reputation as a warrior precedes him, forcing him to feign madness to avoid harm. The journey continues as David takes refuge in the Cave of Adullam, where he is joined by a group of distressed individuals, and eventually, he seeks refuge in Moab. Through these events, we witness David's resourcefulness, fear, and faith during a time of intense uncertainty and danger.
