Week 7: The King of Glory

Jul 13, 2025    Roger Robins, Jim Rutter

Psalm 24:7-10 presents a vivid picture of the triumphant entrance of the King of glory. Through dramatic, antiphonal language, the psalm calls God’s people to open the gates of the city, of worship, and ultimately of the heart, to welcome the Lord who is strong and mighty, the LORD of hosts. This passage connects Israel’s worship with Christ’s victorious ascension and His rightful rule over all. More than a ceremonial moment, it’s a living call to receive the reign of Christ in every part of life. As kingdom citizens, we are called to surrender fully to His authority, trust in His power, and prepare our hearts for His continual presence and final return.
