In Exodus 33:18, Moses wanted to see God as He is in Himself. Although Moses had been talking with God in the tent of meeting, he sought a fuller revelation of His majesty. God agreed but told Moses there would be limits to what he could see, as no human can endure the direct sight of God’s glory. Exodus 34 reveals the encounter, and as God passes by, Moses hears the words that paint the perfect picture of the living God: relational, steady, and holy. God is not just powerful; He’s personal and wants us to know Him. Today, we’ll examine two passages that reveal God’s character and inspire us to reflect His love.
