How Well Do You Listen to God
Today, we explore the challenge of listening to God’s truth through the story of King Ahab in 1 Kings 22, who ignored the prophet Micaiah’s warning in favor of flattery, leading to his downfall, and Paul’s charge in 2 Timothy 4:1–4 to hold fast to sound doctrine despite a world drawn to “itching ears.” The message underscores that God allows us to choose what we believe, but rejecting His truth risks spiritual ruin, as seen in Ahab’s hardened heart, while embracing it transforms us, as shown by Asia Bibi’s unwavering faith and forgiveness amid persecution in Pakistan. We’re called to approach Scripture with pliable hearts, aligning our actions with our beliefs to reflect God’s character daily—choosing forgiveness over grudges and service over selfishness—lest we fall into a “spiritual divorce” where faith and life don’t match.
