Week 1 | Introduction & Overview

You are about to embark on a study that will take you through the Old Testament and focus on how God moved through miraculous and providential ways to accomplish His plan with regard to providing a Savior for mankind. As we begin, it is very important we start out with a good understanding of God’s providence. Many of the ways He worked to accomplish His plan were behind the scenes, working indirectly through the established laws He ordained in creation. What is the doctrine of providence and how does it figure into God’s preparation for a Savior?
