Lesson 9: They Were Generous

Where did they learn to give like that? Paul answers in two ways. The first answer sits in verse 5: the Macedonians gave themselves first to the Lord. The second answer sits in verse 9: they knew the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was rich and became poor so that they, who had nothing, might become rich. The lesson walks from the first answer to the second, and along the way it shows what the grace of God looks like when it works its way through our bank account
