Week 1: Our Call to Share
This lesson introduces the quarter by focusing on the foundation of evangelism: Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Here, we are reminded that our authority and motivation to share the gospel come directly from the risen Lord, who possesses all authority in heaven and on earth. As disciples, we are called not only to go but also to make disciples—baptizing and teaching in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This lesson explores what it means to submit to Jesus’ authority, to live with gospel intentionality, and to trust His presence as we carry out His mission in the world.
Class Objective:
To help you understand the authority and scope of the Great Commission and inspire you to embrace your personal responsibility in making disciples through everyday opportunities, empowered by Christ’s abiding presence.
