CT047 - If God is For Us
In this Friday Lord's Supper meditation, Matthew walks through Romans 8:31–32 and makes the case that God's commitment to his people isn't a feeling or a favorable circumstance — it's a historical fact, proven at the cross. Drawing on the Greek behind Paul's declaration, he shows that "if God is for us" isn't a hopeful maybe but a settled certainty — and that the logic of verse 32 is almost breathtaking: if God didn't withhold his own Son, he isn't withholding anything else that's genuinely for your good. The Lord's Supper is where that truth becomes tangible — bread and cup as the physical answer to every doubt about whether God is really on your side. Listeners are invited to bring whatever is heavy into the weekend and let the table speak back what the Spirit has been saying all along: God is for you, not because everything is fine, but because a Son was given — and that gift doesn't expire.
