Looking Closer

Feb 16, 2025    Matthew Allen, Kyle Fletcher

In this lesson, we dive deeper into understanding the relationship between the Kingdom of God and the Church. While the two are closely related, they are not identical. The Kingdom of God encompasses all that God rules over, including the natural world, governments, and all creation, while the Church is the body of believers who acknowledge Christ as their King. This chapter explores how the Kingdom is both a present reality in the hearts of believers and a future hope and how the Church plays a vital role in living out the values of the Kingdom today. As we examine the distinctions and connections between the Kingdom and the Church, we will better understand our role in God's unfolding plan for creation.
