Week 12: Growing Through Trials
May 17, 2026 • Matthew Allen
In this lesson, we examine how God uses trials as instruments of spiritual growth. While perseverance keeps us faithful, Scripture teaches that trials serve a deeper purpose: shaping Christlike character. Trials are not merely obstacles to endure, but contexts in which God refines faith, deepens trust, and produces spiritual maturity. Drawing primarily from James 1 and supported by other New Testament texts, this lesson emphasizes that hardship is not wasted in God’s hands. Through trials, God forms fruit that could not grow in comfort alone.
