Week 11: Beware of Division of the Heart
As Israel stands on the threshold of the Promised Land, Moses issues one of his most urgent warnings. The danger ahead is not merely military opposition or cultural pressure, it is internal division of the heart. A people can appear united outwardly while slowly drifting inwardly. Moses knows that divided devotion will eventually produce divided lives.
This lesson focuses on the subtle, progressive nature of spiritual drift. Israel is warned against forgetting God, blending loyalties, and assuming that partial devotion is sufficient. The wilderness journey has shown that open rebellion brings immediate consequences, but quiet compromise can be even more destructive. Unity among God’s people is kept only when hearts remain fully devoted to Him.
