Lesson 10 - Putting on the New Self

Aug 18, 2024    Matthew Allen, Matthew Ringle

Colossians 3.1 and 3.3 contain very important statements fundamental to understanding the significance of the Christian life. Baptism was never designed to become a family tradition or expectation … it was given to us to serve as the occasion for our spiritual regeneration and rebirth. Your baptism meant something. It marked the beginning of a very personal transformation that continues to this day. This was initiated by participating with Christ (being raised with Christ, 3.1) in His death we died, 3.3 to our flesh and sins. Since this is the case, we are to cast aside the old life and embrace the new.
