Amos, a sheep rancher from rural Tekoa, in Judah is sent to cosmopolitan and sophisticated Samaria to preach a message of judgment. You can imagine how his preaching was received. Straight and to the point, Amos informs the people that the time of God's favor has ended and they need to return to Him because judgment is coming.
