I'm Being Transformed Every Day

Nov 1, 2020    Romans 12.1-2, Transformation, Change, Surrender, Sanctification

In 2 Corinthians 5.17 Paul spoke of our being made a new creation. The old has passed away. This happened on the day of your baptism when the Spirit went to work regenerating your spirit. In Titus 3.5 Paul uses the term renewal to describe the quality of the Spirit’s work. He is making you into something wonderful that is superior in value or attraction. God can take the worst of persons and transform them into something beautiful. As God works, what is our responsibility?

Romans 12.1-2 explains how we participate in the process. We get salvation from God, but what will we give in return? These verses explain how the Christian life is primarily an act of worship in which we give ourselves to God. The living sacrifice that Paul calls for incorporates soul, body, mind, and will.
